Country:United Kingdom

Delegates: Lin Youqi, Ruan Chenxi

With the development of technology, Many technologies are now being applied in the restoration of cultural relics. These technology are including: 3D printing, Holographic Projection Technology, etc. It is important for us to protect this heritages and today we gather together to discuss about this global issue.

United Kingdom is a country which has long priceless history. For example like Big Ben which is a world cultural heritage site which is located at Westminster Palace on the banks of the River Thames in London, UK. It is an affiliated clock tower of the British Parliament and is designed in the Victorian Gothic style. Big Ben is not only a landmark building in London, but also one of the world cultural heritages.

The historical background and architectural style of Big Ben give it extremely high historical and cultural value. And is one of the world's famous Gothic buildings.

However, the preservation of cultural heritage is confronted with numerous challenges, including natural decay, environmental impacts, and the risk of damage from human activities. Technology offers innovative solutions to these challenges, from non-invasive diagnostic tools to digital preservation methods that can create detailed records and virtual representations of heritage sites.

Due to the long-term disrepair of Big Ben, the cost of each repair starts at tens ofmillions of pounds, which is very costly in terms of both financial and material resources!

1. Technology Exchange: A platform for sharing knowledge, resources, and technological advancements among nations.

2. Start a national funding:  Increased funding should be allocated to research and development of technologies that aid in the preservation of cultural heritage.

In conclusion, the United Kingdom looks forward help from the allies. We believe that if we stick together we will build a bright and rich in cultures’ future!
